Site Engineer

Binnies, an RSK Group company, is seeking a Site Engineer to work on our @one Alliance projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day quality assurance, including surveying, setting out duties, quality checks, and approvals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day site quality assurance, including surveying, setting out duties, quality checks, and approvals.
  • Supporting the Site Manager in liaising with the Engineering and Integration team to resolve conflicts and ensure work is carried out in line with specifications and drawings.
  • Assisting the site management teams with all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management, liaising with commercial, procurement, and planning teams, and supply chain management.
  • Supporting the Site Manager in calling off materials, stock control, etc., and liaising with the procurement team to ensure orders are not exceeded without authority.
  • Highlighting any areas of concern before they become an issue.
  • Ensuring programme, quality, and cost delivery.
  • Exploring alternatives to identify better ways of delivering the need.
  • Minimizing waste by ordering the required materials to optimize project performance.
  • Minimizing capital carbon through innovation, substitution, and elimination.

About You:

You will be able to demonstrate experience of being part of large-scale infrastructure programmes of work, the ability to plan ahead, and ideally experience of Temporary Works supervision or lifting supervision. You should have a proactive approach to resolving unexpected technical difficulties, a can-do attitude, and enthusiasm to innovate and get the job done.
