Job Title: HGV Delivery Driver

We are seeking a reliable and proactive HGV driver to join our team at Chalford Building Supplies (Builders Merchant). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering building materials to the local area, maintaining company vehicles, and assisting yard operatives in loading and unloading vehicles.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Delivery of building materials to surrounding areas
  • Ensure high level of customer service and satisfaction
  • Completion of branch and vehicle paperwork, including daily walk-around checks
  • Maintaining vehicles to high standards, adhering to Road Transport and Traffic Legislation
  • Loading and unloading vehicles, using manual handling and mechanical loading equipment
  • Complying with company policies and procedures regarding driving regulations and Tachograph Law
  • Assisting yard operatives in maintaining high standards of general housekeeping and customer service
Requirements:
  • Valid Cat C or C1 licence, held for at least 2 years
  • Digital tachograph cards and current CPC licence
  • HIAB licence desirable but not essential
Benefits:
