CEO/Secretary Opportunity at Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association

We are seeking an experienced senior leader to join our team as CEO/Secretary, responsible for leading the development of a refreshed mission and vision, and underpinning strategic plan for the association.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the agricultural sector, with experience in leadership and management, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality events. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders.

The role will involve leading and managing a small staff team and extensive volunteer network, as well as managing the association's resources to best effect. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with the ability to drive the agricultural industry in Cornwall.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of a refreshed mission and vision for the association
  • Support the governance review of the association to ensure it is fit for purpose
  • Lead and manage the small staff team and extensive volunteer network
  • Manage the association's resources to best effect

Requirements:

  • Experience in the agricultural sector, with a strong understanding of farming communities
  • Proven leadership and management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders
