Roofer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Roofer to join our team at Liberty. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for a range of roofing duties, including identifying and rectifying defects, surveying and replacing slates or tiles, and repairing and replacing lead valleys.

• Full roofing duties, including maintenance and repair work
• Identifying and rectifying roofing defects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety
• Surveying and correctly placing slates or tiles in isolated patches, ensuring a watertight seal
• Removing old roof coverings and replacing full coverings to all styles of roofs, including domestic properties and high-rise blocks
• Re-bedding and renewing hip and ridge tiles, ensuring a secure and watertight finish
• Repairing and replacing lead valleys, ensuring a seamless and watertight seal
• Point, repair, rebuild chimney stacks and re-bed/renew chimney pots, ensuring a safe and secure finish
• Repair mineral felt and asphalt flat roof coverings, ensuring a durable and watertight finish
• Rew/repair lead flashing to chimneys and lead up stands, ensuring a secure and watertight finish
• Liaise with customers when arranging and carrying out work, having full regard to their needs and working from written and verbal instructions, including drawings, diagrams, sketches, and calculations using measuring equipment

• Served a recognised Apprenticeship and qualification (NVQ L2/L3)
• Competent in all aspects of roofing and with experience of maintenance work on domestic properties, including high-rise blocks for general repairs and refurbishments
• A background of general roof work and the ability to work in confined spaces
• A current driving licence is essential
• Skilled workers will hold a CSCS card, have asbestos awareness, and their own tools
