Sports Coach for Special Needs

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Sports Coach to join our team at a school in Barking. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of PE and sports lessons to students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of PE and sports lessons to students with special needs
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with special needs
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
  • Provide guidance and support to students with special needs to help them develop their sporting skills and confidence

About the School:

The school is a specialist school for students with complex special needs, including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. The school has a strong focus on providing a safe and secure learning environment that supports the needs of all students.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in sports coaching and teaching
  • Ability to work with students with special needs and develop lesson plans that cater to their needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment
