Job Title: Equestrian Centre Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Equestrian Centre Assistant to join our team at Stowe School. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day care of horses and the smooth running of the Equestrian Centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with stable management tasks, including mucking out, feeding, exercising, and grooming horses.
  • Support the Equestrian Centre team in providing a professional livery service.
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety legislation and working procedures.
  • Act in a professional manner at all times towards pupils, parents, colleagues, and horses.
Requirements:
  • Minimum BHS stage 1 or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of basic stable management skills.
  • Ability to ride horses and ponies for exercise.
  • Good communication and written skills.
  • 1 year's equine experience.
Working Hours:

The successful candidate will be required to work within a flexible working pattern, including evenings and weekends, with an average of 40 hours per week, working 5 or 5 1/2 out of 7 days on a rota basis for 52 weeks per year.

Package and Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, dependent on skills and experience, as well as access to Stowe's Gym and Swimming Pool. The possibility of further training will also be available.
