We are seeking a highly skilled Loss Adjuster to join our team at Davies. As a Loss Adjuster, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients through the claims process, ensuring that their losses are handled efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and assess claims of varying complexity and value, ensuring that all necessary information is gathered and documented.
- Apply detailed knowledge of domestic and commercial claims processes, policy cover, and terms and conditions to ensure accurate and timely claims resolution.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of building structures, including foundations, walls, and spanning members, as well as building materials and material pathology.
- Diagnose defects and identify the most appropriate remedial action, ensuring that all necessary repairs are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Apply knowledge of insurable perils, including subsidence, heave, and landslip, to accurately assess and settle claims.
- Understand the principles of building repair and maintenance, ensuring that all necessary repairs are completed to a high standard.
- Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of contractors' all risks, business interruption, and SME claims settlement, ensuring that all claims are handled efficiently and effectively.
- Proactively direct investigations, ensuring that all necessary information is gathered and documented.
- Apply advanced negotiation skills to achieve settlement at no more than the maximum identified figure.
- Detailed knowledge of domestic and commercial claims processes, policy cover, and terms and conditions.
- Thorough understanding of building structures, including foundations, walls, and spanning members, as well as building materials and material pathology.
- Ability to diagnose defects and identify the most appropriate remedial action.
- Knowledge of insurable perils, including subsidence, heave, and landslip.
