Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at 1st Select. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, with a minimum of 5 years' experience working for a cost consultancy or contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimating and tendering for projects
  • Recommending suitable procurement routes and identifying value engineering opportunities
  • Preparing bills of quantities and measuring skills using Bluebeam or similar software
  • Cost planning and contract preparation using the JCT suite
  • Post-contract experience including cost reporting, interim valuations, variation management, and final account negotiation

Requirements:

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related degree/qualification
  • RICS qualified or a desire to achieve chartered status in the near future
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft software suite
