Mental Health Occupational Therapist

Alternative Futures Group is a leading mental health and learning disability charity in the North West, providing innovative and bespoke care services to individuals in their communities. We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Fir Trees Treatment and Recovery Centre in Wigan.
About the RoleAs an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing effective and evidence-based interventions to individuals with mental health problems. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting independence and wellbeing. Your expertise will be essential in assessing and addressing the occupational performance and environmental needs of our service users.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive assessments, care planning, intervention, and evaluation of individual caseloads.
- Develop and implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, promoting independence and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Contribute to the evaluation and development of the occupational therapy service, ensuring quality outcomes for service users.
- Provide specialist advice and support to other departments, professionals, and families/carers.
- Registered Occupational Therapist with the Health Professions Council.
- Post-qualification experience as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, with evidence of working with individuals with mental health problems in various healthcare settings.
- Experience of working closely with other professionals, promoting the role of occupational therapy, and managing casework and liaison with community agencies.
