Surgical Care Specialist

About the Role:
Circle Health Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical First Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Operating Department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients during their perioperative phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of patient care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients, relatives, and staff.
- Contribute to the management and organisation of care provision within the Operating Department, promoting efficient workflows and effective communication.
- Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of colleagues, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Apply evidence-based practice and legislation, policies, and procedures correctly, maintaining a high standard of patient safety and care.
- Prepare and assemble surgical equipment, instruments, and consumables for a wide range of operative procedures, demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
Requirements:
- Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
- ILS qualification.
- Mentorship qualification.
- Maths and English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
- Proficient in the use of a PC, including software and systems.
- Experience of customer care and interacting with customers in challenging situations.
- Previous experience working within an acute healthcare environment.
