About the Role:


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Customer Support Specialist to join our team in Chelmsford, working with customers who require support with their housing needs. As an Outreach Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing guidance and assistance to customers on tenancy matters, including advice on welfare benefits, dealing with police and courts, and helping them manage their own tenancies.


You will work closely with colleagues and Senior Managers to ensure the effective operation of the Support Service, in line with its policies and procedures. Your key responsibilities will include providing pre-tenancy guidance, assisting customers in claiming benefit entitlements, and supporting them in accessing specialist services.


This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives and committed to delivering high-quality services.



What We're Looking For:

  • Relevant experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in housing or social care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of welfare benefits and housing legislation


The Ideal Candidate:

You have a strong track record of delivering excellent customer service and are passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals. You are confident in your abilities, have a positive attitude, and are able to work under pressure. You are also comfortable with technology and have basic computer skills.
