SEN Mental Health Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to fill the role of SEN Mental Health Assistant. This position is ideal for those with a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs.
In this role, you will be working in a school setting, providing one-to-one support to children with moderate learning difficulties and additional mental health needs. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing plans that meet the individual needs of students, working closely with therapists and other professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one support to children with moderate learning difficulties and additional mental health needs.
- Develop and implement plans that meet the individual needs of students, in collaboration with therapists and other professionals.
- Have an understanding of challenging behaviour and provide strategies for managing it.
A psychology degree is desirable but not necessary. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children and colleagues.
