About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Missing Return Home Officer to join our team at Opus People Solutions. As a Missing Return Home Officer, you will work with families and children who have experienced a missing episode from home or care. Your primary goal will be to provide a safe and supportive environment for these families, while also working to reduce the overall vulnerabilities of children and young people who go missing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with families and children to identify risk factors and develop strategies to prevent future missing episodes.
- Conduct Missing from Home Return interviews within statutory timescales.
- Attend Missing intervention meetings as required.
- Collaborate with other professionals to provide a comprehensive support network for families.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support families and reduce the risk of missing episodes.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of social work principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
