Job Overview

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a Second Chef, you will manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • To manage the kitchen efficiently, handling stock control and meeting budget requirements.
  • To assist the Head Chef in menu development, creating nutritious and delicious meals using fresh seasonal produce.
Requirements
  • A warm and personable approach, with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of our residents.
  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification.
  • A good understanding of nutrition and HACCP principles.
  • Experience of working with fresh seasonal food and creating appetizing menus.
