Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Phlebotomy Supervisor to join our team at SYNLAB UK & Ireland. As a Phlebotomy Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of phlebotomy staff in outpatients, wards, and community settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of phlebotomy staff to ensure efficient and effective blood collection services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve phlebotomy services, including quality control and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure seamless integration of phlebotomy services with patient care.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of phlebotomy procedures, including patient data and laboratory results.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • 3 GCSE 'O' levels or equivalent, including English.
  • A minimum of 12 months previous phlebotomy experience.
  • Phlebotomy qualification.
  • Paediatric experience.
  • Domiciliary experience.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Full UK driving license and use of car for work.
Desirable Qualifications
  • 5 GCSE 'O' levels (Grades A-C) or equivalent, including English and Science.
  • Previous hospital patient-facing work.
  • Basic CPR and First Aid Knowledge and competency.
