We are seeking a skilled Technical Theatre and Live Events Instructor to join our team at Solihull College & University Centre. As an Assessor for Creative Apprenticeships, you will be responsible for the technical delivery and assessment of our Creative Industries Production Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship programme.

About the Role
  • Deliver high-quality training and assessment to apprentices in the field of Technical Theatre and Live Events.
  • Work closely with industry professionals to ensure the relevance and accuracy of our training programmes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments to inform your teaching practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and effective training sessions that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Evaluate apprentice progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of employers and learners.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in Technical Theatre and Live Events, preferably with a teaching or assessing background.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, employers, and learners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting deadlines and adapting to changing circumstances.
