We are seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our team at Stride Resource Management Ltd. As a Building Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in assisting our market-leading Claims Management and Loss Adjusting firm in the Leicester area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Loss Adjusters to progress and settle claims efficiently, leveraging your technical expertise to resolve complex issues.
  • Conduct initial site visits to assess damage, establish defect diagnoses, and ensure compliance with Planning, Building Regulations, Party Wall, and CDM requirements.
  • Manage a caseload of domestic property surveys, handling material damage losses and complex building-related issues, with claims typically valued between £70,000 and £1 million.
  • Produce high-quality appraisal reports with budget costings and recommendations, ensuring compliance with performance and process requirements.
  • Resolve complaints and maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions.

Requirements:

  • Relevant insurance industry experience and technical competence.
  • Professional qualifications such as MRICS are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting KPIs and SLAs.
  • Proactive approach to ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Proficiency in using technology and systems to produce high-quality reports and presentations.
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and industry changes.
