Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team at Vistry North West Midlands. As a key member of our site management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works, and day-to-day management and delivery of a larger-scale housing project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works, and day-to-day management and delivery of a larger-scale housing project.
  • Manage and coordinate site activities, including planning, organizing, and controlling resources to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including project managers, site managers, and other departments, as well as external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and local authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures, and maintain a safe working environment for all site personnel.
  • Monitor and report on site performance, including progress, quality, and safety, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the project surveyor to ensure that all commercial implications and drivers within the construction process are incorporated into decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the project's overall program, including procurement, design, and build, and ensure that all site activities are aligned with the project's objectives.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Scaffold inspection qualification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven experience in site management, with a strong understanding of construction processes, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
