LAW Absolute is recruiting a General Counsel to join their team on a permanent basis.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice on a wide range of matters, including commercial contracts, employment law, charity law, governance, and student-facing issues. They will also lead the legal services team, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging high performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal advice to the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Lead the legal services team, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Develop and implement effective legal strategies to mitigate risks and drive business growth.
- Collaborate with senior management to inform business decisions and drive organizational success.
Requirements
- A UK-qualified solicitor, admitted to the SRA for England and Wales and holding a current practising certificate.
- At least 5 years' experience working in a similar role for an education provider.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Able to commute to the office on a hybrid basis.
What We Offer
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £100,000 per annum.
They will also be required to apply for an enhanced DBS check.
