Hazardous Substance Handler

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Hazardous Substance Handler to join our team at Red Kite Waste. As a key member of our site operations team, you will be responsible for managing hazardous substances and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

• Unload hazardous waste HGVs and ensure accurate documentation.
• Conduct regular checks on materials for pH, flammability, and compatibility.
• Collaborate with colleagues to complete relevant paperwork and maintain compliance with health and safety protocols.
• Participate in training to operate a forklift.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications in Chemistry (HNC or above) or equivalent with Chemistry modules.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Ability to work safely outdoors and willingness to learn forklift operation.
