Job Title: Goods Movement Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Goods Movement Assistant to join our team at Get Staffed Online Recruitment. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

Stock Control:

• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize stockouts.
• Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate records.
• Record and report discrepancies between physical counts and system records to ensure prompt resolution.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date stock records in the inventory management system.

Order Packaging:

• Prepare and package customer orders accurately and efficiently according to company standards and quality control procedures.
• Ensure that all packaged goods are properly labelled and include necessary documentation for easy tracking.
• Inspect packaging materials and finished packages for quality and completeness to prevent damage or loss.

Operational Support:

• Assist in receiving and unloading incoming shipments, verifying and recording stock accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the warehouse and packaging areas to ensure employee well-being and productivity.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if necessary) to efficiently move goods and materials.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, stock control, or goods movement role is preferred, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy packages and stand for extended periods, with basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office.

What We Offer:

• A competitive salary range of £21,500.00 - £24,000.00 per annum, plus bonuses and benefits.
• 25 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays, and a workplace pension scheme.
