About the Role:

This exciting opportunity is available for a qualified teacher to join our team as a Primary Teacher - Intervention and Nurture Role in a SEMH setting. You will be working with students who require additional support due to social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nurture lessons for KS2/KS3 aged pupils, bridging gaps in learning and building confidence and self-esteem in small class sizes of 4/5 pupils.
  • Teach a range of subjects including maths and English.
  • Manage children's behaviour during the school day and support their learning and participation in class.
  • Encourage the development of social skills and support students' individual needs.
  • Participate in team meetings and training programmes as an active member of a team.
  • Maintain progress records.
  • Support regulations pertaining to safeguarding.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential.
  • KS1 and KS2 SEMH experience with the ability to work with KS3 and KS4 year groups.
  • Not suitable for NQTs.
