Team Manager for Children and Young People

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled Team Manager to join our team in Gloucestershire. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary of up to £58,515 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance management to ensure high-quality services and effective use of resources.
  • Develop a clear team plan that aligns with the organization's strategic objectives, local performance improvements, and learning from complaints.
  • Provide regular supervision, ensuring clear direction, challenge, and reflection to prevent drift and delay in the child's journey.
  • Manage social work caseloads effectively, ensuring timely delivery of services that meet children and young people's needs.
  • Use performance data to lead on team performance management, holding performance clinics to improve operational outcomes.
  • Chair meetings, ensuring high-quality decision-making for service users.
  • Demonstrate clear decision-making and problem-solving to ensure effective risk management, planning, and good outcomes for children and their families.
  • Develop quality relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.
  • Make informed decisions around threshold for cases, ensuring risk evaluation at each point.
  • Lead continuous professional development, keeping up-to-date with government guidance, legislation, and evidence-based practice.
  • Support, promote, and safeguard the welfare of children and young people.
  • Lead on people management areas, including human resources and SAP responsibilities.
  • Extensive experience working in statutory social care with children and families.
  • Proven experience managing a team, demonstrating inspirational leadership, reflective supervision, and staff development.

The ideal candidate will hold a clear and valid driving license or have the ability to travel around the County.
