About the Role

Your new company is a leading national third-party logistics company based in the UK, renowned for its excellence in supply chain management. As a Transport Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading various teams to ensure maximum productivity levels and meet targets and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead teams of Transport Team Leaders, Administrators, Drivers, and Shunters to achieve operational excellence
  • Meet site budgetary and financial goals while identifying areas for continuous improvement
  • Ensure legislative compliance with regards to driver health and safety, tachograph management, and equipment management
  • Work in a target-driven setting to meet and exceed KPIs
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Transport Manager or Supervisor in a fast-paced transport operation, ideally in a unionized environment
  • National or International Freight CPC (ideally)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to deal with customers
  • Good organizational skills and ability to deliver quality results in a timely manner
  • High degree of flexibility and ability to work as part of a team
  • Previous experience of leading a transport team with ability to develop individuals
