About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced LGV Driver C+E (Low Loader) to join our Tarmac Pave Team in Birtley, Tyne and Wear. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the transportation of mobile plant from site to site, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of equipment and materials.

Main Responsibilities
  • Transport mobile plant from site to site, adhering to safe and legal driving practices.
  • Load and unload plant and equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
  • Plan and execute journeys to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
  • Liaise with the Plant Coordinator and Gang Foreman to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Work safely and in accordance with current driving regulations and company standards.
Requirements
  • Valid LGV (HGV) Class 1 licence.
  • Valid Digital Tacho Card.
  • Valid CPC Qualification Card.
  • Previous experience in a similar work industry, preferably with loading and unloading mobile plant.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable in your working approach.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • ADR - Carriage of Dangerous Goods certification preferred but not essential.
