Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager


Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Development Manager to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Land UK business, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expansion through effective order pipeline management and prioritization of resources.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Act as a key focal point for business development across the Land UK business, enabling business growth through effective order pipeline management and prioritization of resources.
  • Own key customer and partner relationships across both the UK and international markets, influencing and shaping our customer engagement activities.
  • Ensure excellence in business winning capability and culture across the team, leading and developing a team of direct reports.
  • Deputise for the Business Development and Strategy Director where required, providing strategic guidance and support to the team.

Requirements:


To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • Extensive experience working in Business Development, within a highly regulated industry.
  • Shipley business winning training or equivalent.
  • Experience in securing major defence contracts.
  • Deep understanding of Business Development processes.
  • Ability to foster strong relationships at a range of levels.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills.

Desirable Skills:


Experience in leading small teams of business development professionals and a successful track record in delivering change within teams.
