Job Details: Engineering Technical Assistant

We are looking for an engineering technical assistant to join our team in King's Lynn. As an integral part of our engineering team, you will assist in designing, prototyping, and developing new products using CAD software and technical drawing techniques. Your skills in engineering calculations, 3D CAM modeling, and laser/profiling support will help us deliver innovative solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and drafting: Assist in producing detailed drawings from customer sketches, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Reverse engineering: Help measure supplied parts and create drawings for reproduction, collaborating with customers and stakeholders.
  • On-site surveys: Accompany engineers on site visits to assess and meet engineering needs, gathering data and insights.
  • Customer liaison: Communicate effectively with customers to understand and clarify technical requirements, providing solutions and recommendations.
  • Engineering calculations: Assist in performing calculations for material densities, motor requirements, and sealing solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • 3D CAM modeling: Provide 3D model data for use in the machine shop, optimizing production processes and reducing costs.
  • Laser/profiling support: Create DXF drawings, reverse engineer samples, and produce folding drawings, enhancing product quality and functionality.

Salary: £30,000 - £42,000 per annum

Location: King's Lynn, Norfolk
