Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Special Needs Planning Officer to join our team at Connect2Halton. As a Special Needs Planning Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Special Educational Needs Reform programme in line with the Children and Families Act 2014. Your main responsibilities will include assessment and evidence gathering, person-centred planning, and review and monitoring of EHCPs. You will need to have a strong background in working with children, young people, and families with SEND, as well as a strong understanding of the Children & Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice 2015.

You will work closely with children, young people, families, and multi-agency teams to create, implement, and review EHCPs. You will also be responsible for providing advice on personal budgets, appropriate educational placements, and the Equality Act's requirements for SEND pupils. An estimated salary for this role is around £40,000-£50,000 per annum depending on experience.
