About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Plant Operator to join our team at the Westwood AD Plant in Rushden. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our anaerobic digestion plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the safe operation of the AD plant, including routine checking and maintenance activities.
  • Help with the intake, sorting, and loading of food waste arriving on site.
  • Work collaboratively with the operations team to maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness on site.
  • Follow health and safety and environmental regulations, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in a related industry, preferably in waste management or environmental operations.
  • Strong health and safety awareness and a positive attitude towards regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work a shift pattern of 7 days out of 14, including weekends.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to obtain a telehandler certificate (training provided).

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary up to £26,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
  • Overtime paid for approved additional hours worked.
  • 23 days leave (equivalent to 6.6 weeks holiday) and 8 bank holidays from a 5-day week pattern.
