Job Title: Associate Haematology Specialist Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Haematology Specialist Nurse to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a key member of our Specialist Palliative Care Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-focused care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist nursing care, advice, and guidance to patients and families
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based nursing care
  • Lead and manage a team of specialist nurses, providing education and training
  • Collaborate with clinical colleagues to develop services and improve care delivery
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (Part 1) with current NMC registration
  • Evidence of MSc level study in specialist area or equivalent experience/training
  • Recognised postgraduate study in relevant clinical area
  • Expert level of knowledge in clinical specialty
  • Knowledge of service improvement and audit
  • Non-medical Prescribing (v300) or commitment to completing the NMP qualification
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Teaching qualification or equivalent experience
  • Management qualification or equivalent experience
  • Advanced clinical skills
  • Band 7 experience
  • Experience of participating in research
Language Skills:
  • Welsh speaker (Level 1) desirable
Other Requirements:
  • Flexibility in working pattern to ensure maximum visibility of CNS team
  • Ability to travel to all areas of the UHB in a timely manner
