We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team at a busy production facility. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient production operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct daily checks across the production site to identify and diagnose potential issues.
- Perform regular scheduled PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) servicing to prevent equipment breakdowns.
- Diagnose and resolve breakdowns across various machinery and plant equipment on production lines.
- Maintain processing equipment, including fluid pumps, air actuators, separators, homogenisers, steam boilers, and heat exchangers.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Supervisor and Manager on continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce wastage.
- Work closely with the Planning, Production, QA, and Laboratory teams to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
- Complete all necessary documentation to ensure compliance with Food Assurance standards.
- Assist with facilities maintenance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement projects.
- Support project work, including the introduction of new plant and equipment.
Desirable skills and experience include:
- Experience with dairy process lines or similar equipment.
- Knowledge of FMCG/Food environments and rapid response to minimize downtime.
