About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer to join our team at Meridian Business Support. As a Senior PCB Design Consultant, you will play a key role in advising clients on the manufacturability of their PCB designs and suggesting improvements to reduce risks and costs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise to guide clients through the PCB manufacturing process
  • Identify opportunities for design improvements and cost savings
  • Leverage your knowledge of diverse material offerings to meet client needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results
  • Advise customers, planning, and internal CAM engineers on cost-effective manufacturing methods
  • Manage information flow to customers regarding problems that may occur while ensuring customer requirements are understood fully
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • HND or degree in Engineering
  • PCB manufacturing experience or a technical background is required
  • Proven experience in an Application Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Project Engineer role with regular customer contact and site visits
What We Offer

In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary range of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will benefit from:

  • Quarterly company bonus scheme up to 12% of salary
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Death in service insurance
Working Hours

You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (9am - 5pm) and Friday (9am - 2pm), with 20% of your time spent visiting customers and the balance in the office/home. You will also require periodic trips to our head office in Devon.
