Senior Interior Design Engineer - Coventry

Join a leading automotive group as a Senior Interior Design Engineer and contribute to the design and development of luxury automotive brands. As a key member of the design team, you will work on high-profile projects, utilizing your expertise in CAD (Catia V5) and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and follow company quality, health, safety, and welfare policies
  • Supply design/project support to the Lead Design Engineer in a multi-disciplined design team
  • Lead and instruct Design Engineers in company and customer-defined design procedures
  • Support Graduates and Design Engineers with CAD skills and sound design principles
  • Undertake projects and tasks to complete, supported by junior colleagues
  • Support the Lead Design Engineer to meet programme/project targets and interface with suppliers and customers
  • Liaise with CAE engineers
  • Apply design and manufacturing techniques to ensure support on assigned projects

Requirements:

  • HNC / Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject
  • Experience of design engineering within Interiors is essential
  • Strong ability to use Catia V5 along with Microsoft packages
  • Relevant experience in an Automotive Engineering Discipline
  • Ability to work to instruction and integrate into a successful design team
  • Ability to work efficiently within your role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excels in organisational skills and time management
  • A drive to learn and improve at every opportunity
  • Willingness to support others
  • Positive attitude towards mastering challenges and changes
