About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Professor to join our Centre leadership team. The successful candidate will play a key role in setting the strategic direction, research, and funding priorities. They will be responsible for the inception and effective delivery of innovative and collaborative research projects, leading research teams within the Centre and beyond. Securing external funding and assisting colleagues to do likewise will be an essential aspect of this role.
The post-holder will oversee the use of research resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget, and with a good quality outcome. This will involve leadership in the use of the newly constructed social sciences research laboratory at ARU Chelmsford. The Centre will have a strongly collaborative approach with local, regional, and national uniformed public services organizations to tackle issues around equality, diversity, and inclusion.
The successful candidate will have a PhD or Professional Doctorate in an appropriate subject area or Professional qualification in a relevant subject area. They will have a track-record of research impact, including experience of working with policymakers and/or public sector organizations to deliver evidence-based change.
