Job Description:

**Role Overview:**
Syntech Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and servicing power equipment, including generators, at client sites.

**Key Responsibilities:**
• Perform all servicing and maintenance on generators both on-site and at the depot
• Diagnose and repair faults, including control panel issues and AC/DC electrical systems
• Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs and genset synchronisation
• Participate in an on-call rota, including Bank Holidays
• Engage directly with customers, maintaining a high level of service
• Complete all equipment maintenance paperwork, including service and PDI sheets
• Ensure daily roadworthiness of the company vehicle through defect reporting

**Requirements:**
• NVQ in Plant Maintenance or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in the generator or plant hire industry
• Full UK driving licence, held for a minimum of 3 years
• Customer-focused with a commitment to providing high service standards
• Forklift licence preferred (training available if required)
