Precision Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner Setter to join our team at an automotive specialist in Liss. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating Haas CNC 4-axis turning centres.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the quality of our components by inspecting work, approving first-offs and maintaining compliance during batch runs. You will also be responsible for creating and proving programs using Haas NextGen control, identifying tooling needs and maintenance/calibration issues.

You will work closely with our business to identify and agree manufacturing priorities and production schedules. This role requires strong organisational and prioritisation skills, as well as the ability to take initiative and ownership of issues.

• Programming, Setting and Operating Haas CNC 4-Axis Turning Centres: You will be responsible for setting up and operating Haas CNC 4-axis turning centres with driven tooling, running short batches of simple or complex components to tight tolerances.
• Inspecting Work and Maintaining Compliance: You will inspect work at the machine, approve first-offs and check continued compliance during batch runs. You will communicate any issues as necessary.
• Creating and Proving Programs: You will create and prove programs using Haas NextGen control, identifying tooling needs and maintenance/calibration issues.
• Working with the Business: You will work closely with our business to identify and agree manufacturing priorities and production schedules.
