About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Consultant to join our Cloud Business Office team. As a key member of our FinOps squad, you will play a critical role in helping us optimize our cloud costs and ensure we are leveraging the full economic potential of cloud services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage critical relationships with stakeholders, including engineers, finance business partners, and cloud CoE FinOps squad.
  • Constantly monitor BT-level GCP spend and work with engineers to implement optimization opportunities and purchase the right rates optimization products.
  • Build plans, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis on public cloud consumption.
  • Link activity into financial processes and cycles, providing variance analysis to budgets during month-end reporting.
  • Establish guardrails/policies to detect and remove usage waste.
  • Continuously improve front-door and in-life processes, ensuring the right data is captured to drive all aspects of cost transparency, optimization, and financial accountability.
  • Work with finance teams to ensure correct accounting is applied according to IFRS and Group Accounting Policy.
Requirements
  • Experience with developing scripts using languages like Python, SQL, and Terraform to implement automated cost optimization control and attribution policies.
  • Experience building and managing cloud cost analysis and visualizations using tools like Looker, Qlik, MS Excel, Tableau, or any other similar tool.
  • Good data query skills, generating actionable, concise, and presentable data visualizations.
  • Understanding of GCP Cloud fundamentals in FinOps to manage cloud budget, forecast, spend monitoring, purchasing various commitments, and deriving cloud cost optimization across the organization.
  • Hands-on experience querying data via SQL.
  • Experience managing and deploying GCP services such as Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, Compute Engine, Vertex AI, Cloud Spanner, GKE, GCS, DataFlow, and Composer.
  • Certification in FinOps Foundation practitioner is desired.
