Job Title:
Mathematics Specialist Teacher

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Mathematics Specialist Teacher to join our team at an independent prep school in Redbridge. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of teaching Maths to Key Stage 2 or 3 students and will be passionate about delivering high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Maths lessons that promote students' understanding and enjoyment of mathematics.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance students' academic performance and confidence in maths.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.

  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably with Year 5/6 students.
  • Strong knowledge of the primary maths curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.
