Job Title: Senior Girls' Outerwear Designer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Girls' Outerwear Designer to join our team at The Retail Partnership Ltd. This is an excellent opportunity for a trend-driven creative with a keen eye for the latest styles of outerwear and leisurewear for girls, with a solid understanding of the UK high street.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in designing commercial outerwear and leisurewear ranges for girls, with experience in preparing design/factory packs and artwork for sampling. They will also be responsible for working closely with the Sales team, attending meetings at Retail, and presenting cads/samples to buyers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Designing commercial outerwear and leisurewear ranges for girls, staying up-to-date with current trends and producing mood/direction boards.
  • Preparing design/factory packs and artwork for sampling, ensuring that all designs meet the company's quality standards.
  • Working closely with the Sales team, attending meetings at Retail, and presenting cads/samples to buyers.
  • Following designs from first sample stage through to production, maintaining the company identity and developing their product portfolio.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience designing girlswear with an outerwear and leisurewear background.
  • Strong technical understanding of outerwear and leisurewear, including knowledge of fabric sourcing and management of workflow for samples.
  • Commercially savvy with excellent on-trend knowledge, fully computer literate in Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Possess good organisational skills, with experience dealing with overseas factories.
