Job Title: Head of Pensions and Treasury

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Head of Pensions and Treasury. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the in-house pensions team and providing strategic direction on all pension-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the team responsible for implementing pension policy and overseeing external service providers.
  • Provide guidance and support to the Pension Fund Committee and Local Pension Board.
  • Develop and implement the Council's Treasury Management Strategy linked to the Medium Term Plan.
  • Advise the S151 officer and elected representatives on Treasury management decision-making.
  • Maintain a robust controls framework for the function and delivery under the Treasury policies and practices.

Requirements:

  • CIPFA/CCAB Qualified Accountant.
  • Experience of working within both Pensions and Treasury within a Local Authority.
  • Experience of developing Treasury Management Strategies and overseeing a Pension Scheme.
  • Experience of managing a large team of professionals, delivering an efficient service.
  • Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team.
