Electrical Test Technician Role:

CBRE is seeking an experienced Electrical Test Technician to join our Technical Compliance Team. As an Electrical Test Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical compliance of our clients' estates by conducting regular electrical inspections and tests.

Key responsibilities will include developing and implementing strategies to ensure electrical systems are up-to-date with the latest regulations and industry best practices. You will also be responsible for providing recommendations for improvements and upgrades to ensure electrical systems are safe, efficient, and compliant.

A key aspect of this role will be working closely with the planning team and compliance team to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination. Your strong communication skills and attention to detail will enable you to effectively liaise with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners.

To succeed in this role, you will require a time-served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience. An NVQ Level 3 in an Electrical Installation or Maintenance discipline is essential. You will also need to possess strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and analytical abilities.

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular electrical inspections and tests to identify potential issues or non-compliances;
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure electrical systems are up-to-date with latest regulations and industry best practices;
  • Provide recommendations for improvements and upgrades to ensure electrical systems are safe, efficient, and compliant;
  • Evaluate and implement health and safety policies and procedures set by the client and employer;
  • Attend weekly toolbox talks and complete all training provided by the client and employer;
  • Utilize client compliance software to directly report on the condition of electrical systems;
  • Liaise with the client, planning team, compliance team, and other stakeholders;
  • Pursue ongoing professional development.
