Athona Ltd is recruiting a Forensic Mental Health Specialist to work in a permanent role based in Romford, North East London.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the assessment and treatment arm of the service, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that clients receive a holistic and person-centric care and treatment programme based on the recovery model.

Requirements

We require someone with:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree and MRCPsych qualifications
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice
  • Registration on the specialist register within General Adult or Forensics
  • Experience working in inpatient settings with people who have significant mental health issues
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Practice
  • A commitment to continued professional development
