Job Title: Child Disability Specialist

This position supports an ever-growing state-developed and governed early childhood program that offers specialized services to our youngest learners. You will be part of a highly skilled team providing services and supports to eligible children ages birth through five and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and participate in the development of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) and in the determination of placements for eligible children.
  • Provide direct and consultative services to eligible EI/ECSE children in a variety of settings, including homes, childcare sites, ECSE classrooms, and community-based preschool classrooms.
  • Conduct standardized, curriculum-based, and/or autism evaluations to participate in determining eligibility for EI/ECSE services.
  • Consult with community preschool personnel regarding individual child program needs.
  • Utilize teleservice platforms to provide services to families, students, community partners, and district staff as directed.
Requirements:
  • Special Education licensure from TSPC with Early Childhood Special Education endorsement or Oregon Department of Education EI/ECSE Authorization.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in Early Intervention, Early Childhood Special Education, or Special Education.
  • Effective working knowledge of special education process and law.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, take initiative, and use good judgment in the performance of tasks.
  • Ability to meet requirements of fingerprint-based criminal history record verification.
