About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our team in Tamworth. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for efficiently processing shipments from receipt to dispatch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process inbound and outbound shipments for distribution to train maintenance centres across the UK.
- Operate various types of materials handling equipment (MHE) including CBT, VNA, PPT, and Reach trucks.
- Perform inventory counting, stock inquiries, part inspection, decanting, and repacking tasks as required.
- Provide exceptional customer service through face-to-face interactions and email/phone communication.
- Accurately record asset numbers and maintain up-to-date records on our systems.
- Support operations at both T2 and Doncaster locations as needed.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Good mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Valid MHE licenses with a minimum of CBT and Reach truck experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a critical spare part fulfillment role.
- Able to work effectively within a team environment.
- Flexible and proactive approach to meeting operational objectives.
- Current CRB check.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.
