Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled VAT Director to join our team at Pembroke Communications. As a VAT Director, you will be responsible for managing the effective delivery of indirect tax projects, ensuring technical excellence in a complex commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Manage the delivery of indirect tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and meeting project deadlines.
- Mentorship: Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including internal stakeholders, to contribute to winning new work and driving business growth.
- Technical Development: Stay up-to-date with indirect tax legislation and practical changes, and assist in the technical development of the team.
- Team Management: Manage team members to meet project deadlines and liaise with HMRC as required.
Requirements
- Qualifications: CTA qualified with excellent VAT technical and analytical skills.
- Experience: Broad UK VAT technical knowledge and experience, with strong partial exemption, insolvency, and M&A experience.
- Skills: Excellent project management skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and strong client relationship-building skills.
