We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Neighbourhood Planning Officer to join our Neighbourhood Planning Team at Wiltshire Council.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the development and review of neighbourhood plans, ensuring they meet the needs of local communities.
- Work closely with stakeholders, including community groups, local authorities, and other partners, to build strong relationships and facilitate effective planning.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on planning policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective communication strategies, promoting the work of the Neighbourhood Planning Team and engaging with local communities.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in planning policy and legislation, applying this knowledge to inform and improve neighbourhood planning practices.
- Proven experience in neighbourhood planning, with a strong understanding of planning policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting deadlines and priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and information.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the Localism Act 2011.
