Contracts Manager Opportunity

A leading Main contractor in the Civil Engineering sector is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Contracts Manager to lead their team in the South West region.

This role involves managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Civil Engineering, with experience of managing high-value projects in the Highways sector. They will be well-versed in NEC4 contracts and have excellent communication and leadership skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Lead a team of engineers and construction professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including construction programmes and risk management strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered to the required quality standards, including safety, environmental, and social responsibility.

Requirements
  1. Degree qualified in a relevant field, such as Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  2. Proven experience of managing high-value projects in the Highways sector, with a strong background in Civil Engineering.
  3. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of engineers and construction professionals.
  4. Strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts and the ability to implement them effectively.
  5. Good understanding of health and safety regulations and company policies.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
