Job Opportunity

You will be part of the expanding UK Technology team at Handelsbanken plc, playing a critical role in automating and streamlining software delivery and infrastructure management processes. These processes will underpin the successful delivery of an ambitious IT modernisation programme.

You will collaborate with other teams across UKT, including software development and IT operations teams, to implement continuous integration, continuous deployment, and infrastructure-as-code practices. This will enable the delivery of high-quality software products.

As a key contributor to the IT modernisation programme, you will provide tools, processes, and expertise to support the delivery of new software products. Your focus will be on implementing and managing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes. You will also design and implement observability capabilities, including robust monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions. These will enable the tracking of system performance, detection of issues, and proactive troubleshooting.

Main Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Design and implement observability capabilities, including monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions.
  • Monitor and optimise system performance, identifying bottlenecks and collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate and manage software releases, post-release monitoring, and documentation updates.
  • Collaborate with platform/system teams to automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure components.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a recent strong experience in DevOps practices, including developing CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure-as-code. Your proficiency in scripting and programming languages, such as Bash, Python, Ruby, or PowerShell, is essential. You should also have knowledge of configuration management tools, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. A good understanding of networking concepts and security practices in cloud environments is also required. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is desirable. You should be able to build strong professional relationships at all levels of the organisation and represent Handelsbanken plc effectively.
