Job Title: Valuation Surveyor - Compulsory Purchase Expert

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Valuation Surveyor to join our team at Lambert Smith Hampton. As a Compulsory Purchase Expert, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on compulsory purchase law and procedures to government departments, infrastructure providers, and developers. Your role will involve acting for property owners and occupiers, ensuring they are fairly consulted and compensated in advance of and in the event of compulsory purchase.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide expert advice on compulsory purchase law and procedures
* Act for property owners and occupiers in compulsory purchase matters
* Conduct valuations and prepare compensation claims
* Negotiate with acquiring public authorities
* Provide expert witness evidence at the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) if necessary

Requirements:

* Chartered surveyor with a background in compulsory purchase matters
* Strong knowledge of compulsory purchase law and procedures
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
