Marketing Communications Leader Opportunity

VMA Direct is seeking an experienced Marketing Communications leader to join their team on a six-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a new strategy and leading a small team to implement plans across marketing, public affairs, media relations, campaigns, events, and support fundraising activities.

This is a key role that requires building connections and raising awareness with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the charity sector leading a team across both marketing and communications initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a new marketing strategy for the charity.
  2. Lead a small team to implement plans across marketing, public affairs, media relations, campaigns, events, and support fundraising activities.
  3. Build connections and raise awareness with key stakeholders.
  4. Work with the leadership team to develop narrative, missions, and values.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience within the charity sector leading a team across both marketing and communications initiatives.
  2. Strong leadership and communication skills.
  3. Ability to develop and implement a new marketing strategy.

This is a six-month contract role which may be extended. Candidates will need to be available to start within three weeks or less. Flex working is 2-3 days a week based in Coventry office.
